岩井俊雄さんのレインコート
メディアアーティストの岩井俊雄さんが、
今回は映像もコンピューターも使わず、
本物の水と布を使った「レインコート」を発表。
水のかたまりをコロコロと転がしてあそぶようです。
「超撥水」という特殊な繊維を使っているそう。
「いわいさんちWeb」によると、

超撥水（ちょうはっすい）というのは、布自体が水を完全にはじく、ということ。
布の表面に水をこぼしても、サトイモやハスの葉っぱのように
水が玉になってコロコロところがり落ちます。
それでいて空気はちゃんと普通に通すんです。
そんな布があるというのを知って、雨粒を手元でコロコロころがして
遊べるレインコートがあったら楽しいなあ、と思いつきました。

通学中のようちえん児が遊びながら歩く様子が目に浮かびます。
青山スパイラルでの展覧会が今日までなので、
今から見に行ってこようかとおもいます
